Join Joe Libeu and Dusty Sprague in November for outstanding fishing at Ascension Bay Bonefish Club (ABBC) in Mexico. ABBC maintains a long history of providing the traveling fly fisher with outstanding flats fishing inside the pristine Sian Kaan Biosphere. In addition to fishing for permit, bonefish, tarpon and snook, Joe and Dusty will provide presentations and one-on-one instruction to strengthen your casting and fishing skills. They will provide preparation workshops and can provide testing for Certified Instructor and Master Instructor for those interested in the Federation of Fly Fisher’s (FFF) Casting Instructor Certification Program. If you like, Joe or Dusty can fish with you and offer suggestions for curing casting problems and improving your presentations. Joe and Dusty have extensive experience in teaching fly casting and fishing for salt and freshwater species. Joe is also a FFF Master Certified Casting Instructor and member of the Casting Board of Governors.

The week includes seven nights lodging, all meals, six days of guided fishing with transfers to and from Cancun.

Trip Price: $3,300 ** per angler - $3,900 Guaranteed Single Room.

** If $1,000 deposit is received by March 15, 2008. THIS IS A SAVINGS OF $300 per person and includes double occupancy rooms. After March 15, the trip price increases to $3,600 per person. Guaranteed single occupancy is an additional $600 fee and subject space available & first come, first served.

Itinerary: 3 full days of fishing

Jan 28: Arrive San Jose, Cost Rica. Transfer to the Resort via private Coach.
Jan 29: Full day of fishing.
Jan 30: Full day of fishing.
Jan 31: Full day of fishing.
Feb 1: Depart the resort at 7:00 am for San Jose (please make flight reservations after 12:00 pm.)

Round-trip transportation via motor coach is included in your package between San Jose and Los Suenos.

Description:
Fly into San Jose, Costa Rica where you will be met by local representatives and transferred via deluxe motor coach to the beautiful resort of Los Suenos, Costa Rica, a magnificent 1100-acre ocean community on the Pacific Coast.

Upon arrival you will be shown to your luxury condominium accommodations which include three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, full kitchen, dining room, cable TV, central A/C, washer and dryer and three swimming pools. Each condo sleeps four anglers and comes with a private golf cart.

The first night there will be an orientation dinner at the luxurious “host home”. The home is located just a five minute “cart” ride from your condo. Daily breakfasts, cocktail hour and three dinners will be privately catered for the ASHRAE group. . The home was custom built for entertaining a group of this size, cocktail hour is hosted and there is even a swim up bar! One evening is on your own to explore the local resort and casino or go down to El Jaco and enjoy a variety of restaurants, bars, casinos and local nightlife.

Fishing: Los Suenos has one of the most spectacular fishing available anywhere in the world. Blue, black, striped marlin, sailfish, mahi mahi , tuna and wahoo. Or fish inshore for roosterfish, jack crevelle, cubera snapper, Spanish mackerel and grouper. You will fish three days Jan 29,30,31 on40’-60’ sport fishing boats. Each boat comfortably fishes 4-6 anglers and comes with an air conditioned salon and head. Lunch is included daily on the boats. The marina can be accessed daily from your accommodations via golf carts.

With heavy hearts, we are very sad to report that our dear friend and super manager, Tom White passed away last Saturday, June 23. He was with his sister and daughter at the time his passing, after a hard battle with brain cancer.

As all of our customers who met Tom know, he was one of the finest fly casting instructors on the planet and by far, one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Tom will be remembered as leader in the fly fishing world and was considered as the most gifted instructor in the business. As a long-time friend, I can not say enough about this great man who helped me in so many different ways. From coaching me in distance casting to helping me dig out my hurricane ravaged house, Tom never hesitated in lending a helpful hand. My very last conversation with him really summed up his unselfish generosity as he finished up by saying, “hey, if their is anything I can do for you old buddy, just let me know…”. This from someone whom needed more help than modern medicine could muster.

I am sure he is now on the finest steelhead drift in heaven. Tom, we will all miss you!
